-www.viddler.com-video sharing.  A cool feature can insert comments onto certain parts of the video!! Great for analyzing video.

-www.scribd.com-publish papers, download them(or full-text books!!), get them read to you, and it features a live link!

-www.Issuu.com-read/publish online(magazines, books, etc.)

-waybackmachine-See any webpage before it has been updated. This keeps archived copies.

-www.openoffice.org-provides free program similiar to Microsoft Office, and is downloadable.

-http://http://portableapps.com/-Download what player/acessory you want, and can acess blocked sites, by using a usb stick

-http://www.skype.com/-call long distance cheap/free(computer-computer, computer-phone)

-www.handbrake.com-a free dvd ripper

-www.getmiro.com-plays/downloads regardless of file type, internet tv channels, etc.

-www.Twitter.com-A great resource to meet people who share smiliar thoughts or views as yourself.  Can instigate an awesome place for meaningful discussion and a variety of opinions.

-PhotoStory 3- A very quick and easy way to use pictures, music and dialogue to make stories out of.  User friendly, great instructions.

-http://www.blip.tv-A site to watch or upload video to..similiar(but better quality) to YouTube.

-www.Ning.com- A social networking site suitable for students/teachers, groups, etc. An alternative to wiki for a class site.

-classblogmeister.com- Another great site to put up a class website

-www.freewebs.com- a very user friendly website server

-eluminate.com/vroom- a free program that allows you to host a live stream of video and audio, post up presentation slides, chat in a message board, and in general communicate online from where ever.  Great for use on a class site if certain students can not always physically be in class.

-archive.org-archives events/video/audio/pictures/music that allow you to go back and examine.  Example: 9-11(see what the world was like previous/during/after the attacks)

-animoto.com-make professional looking music videos…very easily!

-cogdogroo.wikispaces.com/StoryTools- all you need to know about digital story telling, and 50 different tools to do so!
